Some interesting facts about the year…
CALGARY — Calgary house prices in September saw their first decline in six months, according to a new national survey which looks at repeat home sales.
The Teranet-National Bank National Composite House Price Index, released Wednesday, said prices in Calgary fell by 0.8 per cent from August. However, they were up 2.2 per cent compared with a year ago.
The index is estimated by tracking observed or registered home prices over time using data collected from public land registries. All dwellings that have been sold at least twice are considered in the calculation of the index.
